FAQ

Here are answers to some common questions about Code 5 Fitness. If you have any further inquiries, feel free to contact us directly.

Do I have to be fit to take your classes?

No! As long as you have general medical clearance to start a vigorous exercise regimen, NOW is the right time to come and see where you’re at in your fitness journey. Many people think they need to “get in shape” before coming to a Code 5 class, but nothing is further from the truth. Even if you consider yourself a 2/10 on the fitness scale, allowing us to assess your strengths and weaknesses at the beginning of your journey will result in a much safer and more efficient training program to get you closer, or to, attaining your goals.

Do you offer one-on-one POPAT/PARE training?

Unfortunately no. The POPAT/PARE practice sessions are only offered Thursday nights from 19:30 to 21:30. There is plenty of time for candidates to adjust their schedules accordingly to attend. For those who are hesitant to join a group class, MANY people are intimidated at the thought of exercising around others with the same goals, who might be fitter or closer to success. But at Code 5, there is no need to be anxious or fear a shaming environment. We are all on the same team and your journey is YOUR OWN — but you are sharing it with others to reach a common goal. We celebrate each other’s success and the bitterness of defeat, but we help each other up if someone falls.

What are the benefits of the 6-week Full Program?

The 6-week Full Program provides a structured and progressive training experience tailored to your fitness level and goals. Participants receive personalized attention, guidance, and support throughout the program, leading to more significant improvements in strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Additionally, committing to the full program fosters consistency and accountability, increasing the likelihood of achieving long-term fitness success.

No, the only location is at the Chinese Cultural Centre at 50 E. Pender St, Vancouver, BC. Some of our other classes and workshops may be offered at other studios, or outdoors, but the obstacle course is only set up at the CCC.

Unfortunately, the class is for active participants only.
